My good friend Jennifer came to town this weekend with her little girl Halynn. This was the first time Caitlin and Halynn have met. Halynn seemed to be infatuated with Caitlin and would squeal whenever she was near her. Caitlin on the other hand wasn't so sure about this little thing that would move and make noises. It was cute. The mommies had a great time seeing each other too!
Miss Halynn.....one adorable five month old!
Look at those big beautiful brown eyes!
Jennifer and Halynn.
Laughing at her mommy. I could just eat her up.
"Aunt Jenn" and Caitlin reading her book. She's still in love with books these days.
"Aunt Crystal" and Halynn....Caitlin wouldn't sit still that long!
We got a quick picture on the couch before Caitlin tried to pull off Halynn's bib. She's got this look like "I know I'm not supposed to be doing this!"
Caitlin and "Pop" Godfrey reading her book. It didn't take long until she would climb in his lap to read.
He went out to get something for supper and she met him at the back door when he got back. She was so sweet!

Caitlin's first visit to the Zoo

On Monday, Lee decided that it would be a fun idea to go to the zoo for the morning. Since it's softball season and he is gone a lot, we haven't seen much of each other. We were in need of some family time - just the three of us. He took the morning off of work and we headed to Greenville. We had a great time and Caitlin seemed to enjoy it too. She was happy and content just to walk around and look at the animals. She wasn't overly excited, but we all had fun. After a quick lunch at Chik-Fil-A, we headed back home. Thought I'd share some of our joy......

The animals were very active during our visit. It isn't too hot yet so they weren't just laying around. I think all of the animals were out and moving about. The monkeys got very worked up at one point and were loud....I mean loud! We had a great time and made wonderful memories!
Daddy and Caitlin as we are heading into the zoo. She stayed in the stroller for a short while as she couldn't see over the railing at the animal exhibits. Oh well, the stroller sure was good for storage!

Looking at one of the animals. I love her blonde hair!
Mommy and Caitlin looking at the vultures....not pretty!
Here we are at the giraffe exhibit. She enjoyed standing at looking at the different exhibits.
Caitlin again.....
Daddy and Caitlin watching the giraffes.
Watching,....something....I forgot!
Having a sweet mother / daughter moment at the monkey exhibit.

Moments of our day

This is a sweet picture of her little face. We are blessed beyond measure!
Thank you God!
She's developed a fondness for books - books and baby dolls!
Here I am....you found me!
Sitting on the bottom step with her stash of toys.
Running through the kitchen after grabbing one of Daddy's shoes.

Softball mascot....

Walking to the dugout with Uncle Tim. She had such a blast out at the softball game during one of the scrimmages.
Sitting with Daddy watching the girls play.
She was so content to just sit with Daddy and watch them....at least for thirty seconds, that is!
Watch out girls, here I come. She carried this ball around the park for quite a while. She tried to snag a few others out of the girls' bags, but Mommy wouldn't let that happen!
I love this picture. So peaceful, yet so determined. Almost out of her reach. It's beautiful!

Caitlin's first snow!

This evening, snow began to fall. The newsmen had forcast snow, but we all know that we never believe them in South Carolina! Not until we actually see with our own eyes that snow is actually falling from the sky. So when it was predicted to snow, I was skeptical to say the least. It was sleeting when we were in church this morning and you could hear it hitting the windows while the visiting missionary spoke. The roads were icy and slushy in Ware Shoals so it was a slow drive home. But at home it was just raining until about 4:30pm when it began snowing and it has been coming down for several hours already. We took Caitlin out in it when she got up from her nap as you never know when it will stop snowing and I didn't want to risk her missing it. She seemed to have a blast and screamed when it was time to come inside. She quickly was occupied with some other distraction though. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
This is so much fun.
I didn't do it....whatever it was, I didn't do it!

Who could resist that face?!?!?!

Hey Daddy!
So precious!
Trying to get to the camera...

Walking on the snow (not thru the snow as we don't get that much) on the deck. She had a blast!
